Resume of Atty. Evel FANFAN.-

Licensed lawyer with the Federation of Bar Associations of Haiti, FBH. He was born February 10, 1975 in one of the oldest towns in the country, the commune of Saint Du Nord. He comes from a relatively poor peasant family. He did his primary schooling at the Collège de L'Armé du Salut d'Aquin and secondary studies at Lycée(high School) Pierre Sully in the same town. He was married in 1999 and is the father of three beautiful children. He has a degree in Accounting. He has a degree from the Biblical School of Des Cayes de la Mission (MEBSH), and a diploma from the French Institute of Haiti. In 1998 he began his university studies in Juridical Science at the faculty of Law and Economic Science of Gonaïves and holds a law license. He also has a degree in Political and Social Science from The Institute For Advanced Social and Political Studies (ISPOS).

Training Abroad

In July 2008 he was awarded a certificate in Strasbourg France as a Professor of Human Rights In Universities by the International Center for the Teaching of Human rights in Universities (CIEDHU). In March and April, 2009 he received certification from Frontline in Brussels, Belgium as a trainer for security and the defense of human rights in the world.ExperienceHe has been teacher of literature and social sciences, teacher of education in family life at Lycée d'Aguin. Executive Secretary of the Private Sector of the of Aquin AESPA, member of the administration of the Lycée D'Aquin. Director of PFLK, Training Program for Christian leaders. Executive Secretary of ARAF, Association of Haitians Returning From France for the Evangelical Baptist Mission of South Haiti, MEBSH. He is currently president of the Executive Council of Action of University Grads Motivated for Haiti with Rights (AUMOHD). He is a consultant for the American Center for International Labor Solidarity (ACILS). Member of the Haiti-Africa network for human rights.

Experience on the ground.-
Member of the Coalition of Human Rights Organizations in Haiti initiated by the Human Rights Section of MINUSTAH. Lawyer and consultant for the network of Haitian Women. Founder of Community Human Rights Councils (CHRC) in Simon Pelé, Cité Soleil, Grand Ravin/Martissant, Croix des Bouquets, Bainet in the south east, and Belladère. Lawyer consultant for the group of citizen initiators for the development of Delmas and Cité Soleil (ICID). Lawyer and consultant for the organization GFA a women's watchdog group.
